Information provided on LexisNexis' website:

In Civil Frauds & Good Faith, 2nd Edition, authors Michael Tweedie and Gillian Dingle explore the intersections of good faith duties and the organizing principle throughout its 27 chapters. The book includes a broad examination of the common law tort of civil fraud and compiles relevant cases for easy reference. It is structured as follows:

  • Parts 1 and 2 address the tort of deceit, its effect on contracts, specific civil frauds, pleading standards and burden of proof

  • Part 3 discusses equitable fraud, including undue influence and unconscionability, predatory marriage and unconscionable procurement

  • Part 4 explores good faith duties in contract law, both pre- and post-Bhasin
